Airline Executives To Blame If Airliner Runs Out Of Fuel

Next time you’re planning on taking an airplane you might want to consider taking a train or a boat, it might take you longer to get there but the likelihood of actually arriving is higher. Now I know you’re thinking that you’ve read all the stats and air travel is safer than driving your car, but I’d re-examine that line of reasoning too. After reading that one of the worst fears of an airline pilot is not having enough fuel onboard to safely make it to another airport if there is a delay, my fear factor indicator went off the chart.
The story by A. Pawlowski entitled “Secrets pilots won’t tell you” written for CNN.com is… well… pretty scary, these professionals get pushed to their limits by an industry that with money always the prime concern, putting their personal in compromising positions gets done with a regularity that would astonish you if you knew the truth, which the airlines are very good at hiding.
Knowing this absurd information has to lend credence to other ridiculous facts that are probably going to come into the open one day down the road. Hopefully it won’t be after people have gone to their grave the victims of gross negligence caused by a bunch of greedy executives busy trying to line their own pockets by cost cutting measures designed to make maximum profit from minimum services.
Mr. Pawlowski’s tale also mentioned the extreme lack of sleep the pilots suffered while plying their most dangerous of trades. Geesh folks! What are you like when you haven’t got your nappy-pews? And these people have a large technically complex machine their trying to keep in the air.
The moral of this story is easy to deduce. The right way to run an airline calls for the government to step in and act as our big brother, grab these bullies (airline executives) by their throats and make them toe the line with jail as the deterrent to them thumbing their noses at us, the flying cattle, sorry I mean public.
