Pedophilia, Money Laundering: What’s Next For The Vatican?

Holy Moly! It sure is going from bad to worse for the Vatican. First we have priests getting their jollies with children, and now it looks like the Vatican is the (alleged) private piggy bank for money-laundering. If things happen in three’s you got to wonder what’s next for that old boys club!
A story by Stephan Faris posted in Time.com entitled “Money-Laundering Probe Sparks Another Vatican Scandal” helped me realize that I’m not too far off when I admit I’m an old cynic when it comes to church affairs; I’ve never bought into the idea that the clergy shouldn’t have to answer to a sovereign power, just have a look at the recent carnal shenanigans and tell me that the criminal element isn’t alive and well in the ranks of the ministry.
But let’s extrapolate on my assertion that things happen in threes. I don’t think it would be too awfully hard to use conjecture and come up with the next scandal that will rock the Holy See. Let me see now (sorry about the pun)….I know! Here’s an obvious one; if the clergy is indulging themselves with kinky sex with kids, then the next logical step would be either money from the plate being used for prostitutes, or a reverend acting as a John, not as disgusting as the sexual deviance required for pedophilia, but almost as nauseating.
Just let your imagination run wild, I’m sure you can add to the list, but I should add one more; murder! With the emotions that are surely over the top inside that league of gents, it doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch to believe homicide is on somebody’s mind.
But whoa! Doesn’t it seem like everything I’ve just said is something out of tabloid magazine? As sick and twisted as it sounds, some of it is all too real and the rest of it! Remember what I said about things in three’s!
